Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone is the first, and one of the most magnificent National Parks in the country; and Idaho Falls lies at the west entrance. The park is home to the majority of the world’s geysers, and created to protect the wildlife. It is a short beautiful drive to view Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and all the creatures roaming the park.
Yellowstone's Bear World features a drive-thru bear habitat, an opportunity to bottle feed the bears, an amusement park, and petting zoo. A fabulous wildlife retreat for children of all ages!
Grand Teton National Park & Jackson Hole
There is no wonder more awesome than the rugged cliffs of The Teton Mountain Range. The mountains are breathtaking! Grand Teton National Park is a short drive from Idaho Falls, and well worth the travel. The National Elk Range (an elk preserve) is alongside of the road you travel to Jackson Hole, all while viewing the ancient granite core of the Teton’s. Shop in Jackson Hole, take pictures of the Elk Antler Archways, and enjoy this western tourist town. There are tons of photo opportunities along this drive.
The Museum Of Idaho
The museum hosts popular exhibits that are often found in New York City and Chicago. Exhibits such as Dinosaurs, Dead Sea Scrolls, Bodies, and The Great Guitar have been hosted. Exhibits change 2-3 times a year. Check out the website link for the current exhibit.
Tautphaus Park Zoo
The largest zoo in Idaho is home to over 400 animals, an aviary, a children’s petting zoo, and educational programs for kids. Tautphaus Park Zoo is owned by the city of Idaho Falls, and open during the spring , summer, and early fall. However, the zoo does have special events and openings for Halloween and Christmas.
Minor League Baseball
The Idaho Falls Chukars are a minor league affiliate to the Kansas City Royals. Melaleuca Field is a beautiful natural grass park built in 2007 with comfortable seating. Come on out and cheer on the Chukars!
Idaho Falls Opera and Symphony

Golf
Idaho Falls is home to over 3 challenging 18 hole golf courses, and a short 6-hole course. Pinecrest Golf Course has been on the PGA tour schedule, and was ranked in the top 50 golf courses by Golf Digest, 2009-2010. With the gorgeous weather, Idaho Falls offers great opportunities to get out and enjoy the greens!
